September 23rd, 2024

The partnership of the Erasmus+ project QUALITY YOUTH MENTORING FOR INCLUSION, co-funded by the European Union, hold the third and last transnational meeting of the project in Nicosia (Cyprus). The objective of the meeting was to analyse the conclusions drawn from the pilot tests conducted in the different countries involved in the initiative and to plan the following dissemination activities and multiplier events.

Online meetings

The partners of the Erasmus+ project Quality Youth Mentoring for Inclusion have consistently met over the 24-month duration of the initiative to collaboratively plan, monitor, and evaluate the progress of the intellectual outputs, ensuring that all milestones were met with high quality and impact. These meetings were also instrumental in coordinating key activities, such as the implementation of pilot tests and the development of an effective dissemination plan to maximize the project’s outreach and sustainability. Furthermore, this approach was carefully designed to align with the European Union’s funding guidelines, which emphasize the importance of reducing the carbon footprint. By leveraging efficient and environmentally conscious collaboration methods, such as virtual meetings and sustainable planning practices, the project not only advanced its core objectives but also contributed to the broader EU goals of promoting ecological responsibility in funded initiatives.

Pilot TEST

The partnership has carried out pilot tests of the mentoring process in collaboration with various social organizations in Spain, Italy, Croatia, and Cyprus, engaging young people affected by rare diseases. By working directly with this target population, the partnership was able to gain crucial insights into the practical application of the mentoring framework. This process enabled the identification of the main weaknesses and challenges, ranging from logistical and operational issues to areas requiring further refinement in the methodology. Based on these findings, the team implemented a series of targeted improvements, ensuring that the mentoring process is both more effective and better aligned with the project’s overall goals.
